Oslo singer, rapper, songwriter, producer and Spellemannsprisen (Norwegian Grammy) nominee Chris Lee first crossed paths with Huntsville, Alabama’s most vital artists this April when he opened the epic second date of G-Side’s Nordic tour at Club Blå. The day after the night before and Chris, Clova, ST and the Basmo Family production team had conceived, written, recorded and filmed both the ‘Money In The Sky’ track and video.
When the Slow Motion Soundz camp headed back to Bama, they were handed a copy of Chris’s chart-riding (three Top 10 singles) album Love Ghost. Opening track ‘Drunk Dialer’ immediately grabbed them. Listening to it on the flight home, emotions running high and memories of their first overseas experience fresh in their minds, a lasting connection was made.
‘Drunk Dialer Remix’ should feel like new territory for G-Side. But it sounds like all ST and Clova have been doing for the last decade is making love ballads in a studio in Norway with Chris Lee. The track envelopes the duo as if they were using it to escape the bitter Scandinavian winter, the sumptuousness of the music and aching soul of Lee’s cries making this one of their most accomplished songs to date.
This is the first of several post-Oslo collabos between Chris Lee and G-Side. Chris will also be featured on two songs on G-Side’s upcoming album ‘One…The Cohesive Album’. Out 1.1.11 on Slow Motion Soundz.
Both the original and remix of ‘Drunk Dialer’ were produced by Chris Lee, Jamie Way, Axel Ramfjord and Øyvind Holmboe Basmo.

Vg-Lista Rådhusplassen

Chris Lee og co er med på Vg-lista turnéen, og den startet med et mageplask på Rådhusplassen. For anledningen ble jeg degradert fra DJ til fotograf, damn! Men desto mer bilder da… Singelen til Chris Lee, monkey remix feat. Joodski og Onklp har gjort stor sukssess på itunes denne vår/sommeren. Noen andre som også vel fortjent gjør stor sukksess for tiden, er Jaa9 og Onklp som også fremførte sommer-hitten glir forbi, som jeg synest dere burde kjøpe her.
Ellers var det bare snakk om fest og morro…..

Jeg spyttet konfetti og ristet “flass” ut av håret resten av kvelden…

Dj Maya vs. tante Maya

Dagen igår var egentlig ment til å spille i Kristiansand med Chris Lee med påfølgende henging på Quart festivalen. Tok toget til Kristiansand alene for å treffe de andre der, tog som sagt UTEN aircondition, for da eg endelig kom fram, god og våt av svette, fikk eg en telefon fra min høy-gravide søster som DA bestemte seg for at no var det på tide å få ut bollen. Så da gikk det som det måtte gå, bytte tog i Kristiansand for å kose meg heeele veien tilbake til Oslo.
Uante veier hver dag…..
Tror Chris og Axel klarte seg uten SupaDiskjokki Maya, da ryktene forteller om narchpiel på Black eyed peas sitt hotell-rom, Fergie elsket de!

Well, as all of you probably know, we played with Raphael Saadiq at Fabrikkhallen. We had unfortunately some troubles with the sound and so on, but all together it was a fun night, as you might see from the pics:-) I wore a lovely copper-dress from Velouria Vintage on stage..

Igår var det Russekåring på Rud videregåendeskole. Der stillte selvsagt Chris Lee opp og framførte den nye låten “bee alive” som bussen med samme navn har fått som laglåt! Glad-gjeng Russ 2009, det må en si!:-) Ble selvsagt signering og skribling på russedrakter etterpå. Go, Russe-Chris! Lacoste er også selvsagt den vanlige uniformen til Chris, I like!
