Some months ago we offered up the soundfiles for our song “Isle Of Now”, and we got quite a few remixes in return. One of them is this one, courtesy of Sanhueza from Bergen in Norway. He even did a video for it, must have been expensive!

We won a grammy!!

We won a grammy, what a shock! We didn’t plan any speech, so to everybody we forgot, you know who you are, thank you very much!! We are extremely thankful for this award, and hopefully it helps get more people tuned into our music as well as inspiring us to push forward.
AND what a great party! Röyksopp and Robyn, my hero, made the party complete with their performance!
I wore a dress from the lovely Batlak & Selvig. And the most amazing shoes from acne! I love!!! ♥

“Isle Of Now” Remix Kit

We have been getting alot of emails since the release of our album from people wanting to remix our song “Isle Of Now”.
We finally got around to making the so-called “stems” of this album, divided into guitars, bass, percussion, vocals and keyboards, so now everyone can feel free to remix this little gem of ours.
You can download the files HERE, and the bpm is 110. Please send us an email when youre done, so we can post it on this website.

We are happy to announce that our record “Isle Of Now” has been nominated in the category “best pop-album” in the annual Norwegian Grammy Awards – Spellemannsprisen.
Should be a good party.
Montée at Last Train in Oslo during by:larm

From February 18-20th, the festival by:larm will be taking place in Oslo, and Montée is playing. We’ll be performing a couple of shows, one of which will happen at the famous club Last Train in (the otherwise shitty street) Karl Johans gate. It’s going down on friday February 19th at 2300 hrs, and we hope to see you all there.
3-4 new songs will be performed. You get in with a by:larm-pass or by buying a ticket in the door.

Nipsey Hussle

I met up with my new fav rapper and Calis new rap messias Nipsey Hussle for an interview last week here in Hollywood. I gave Nipsey some good Norwegian quality Dovre, as a christmas present:-)

Montée at Henie Onstad

A merry christmas and a happy new year to you all! Here are some good news:
Montée will be performing at the great Henie Onstad right outside Oslo on February 7th. This is a beautiful museum with a rich and exciting past of bringing people great art and music (check out the newly released Soft Machine-livealbum with recordings from 1971 if you don´t believe us), and we are proud to be asked to play there.
This sunday four of the best independent musicstores in Oslo are being celebrated, and we have been picked by the best recordstore in Oslo – Big Dipper -to represent them. More info soon on what other bands will be performing.
Big Dipper will also release the gatefold vinylversion of “Isle Of Now”, and we hope to have it ready by then.
Also, we will be performing many brand new songs. See you there!

Great news – Our debutalbum “Isle Of Now”, which was released in March this year, has been nominated by the Norwegian magazine Natt & Dag as the Oslo-record of the year!
We are very happy about the nomination, but still need your help, as it also relies on people voting for us online.

“Dette obskure prosjektet ved navn Montèe startet det hele for et par år tilbake i et mystisk hjemmestudio i en leilighet på Torshov. Ampeg 8×10 anyone?

Hey, anyone want my beloved Ampeg cabinet 8×10, in exchange for an Ampeg 4×10 or 1×15? It works perfectly, it just misses the wheels poor thing. I would love to keep it, but money stands in my way of buying a smaller one to bring on the road with me.
So if anyone wants a bigger and better cabinet, let me know!
