Great news – Our debutalbum “Isle Of Now”, which was released in March this year, has been nominated by the Norwegian magazine Natt & Dag as the Oslo-record of the year!
We are very happy about the nomination, but still need your help, as it also relies on people voting for us online.

“Dette obskure prosjektet ved navn Montèe startet det hele for et par år tilbake i et mystisk hjemmestudio i en leilighet på Torshov. Et par konsentrerte år ved skissebordet resulterte i en monsterdebut av en skive, Isle Of Now – et popmesterverk landet ikke hadde hørt maken til verken før eller siden. Kritikerne fra Nordkapp til Lindesnes trodde ikke sine egne ører og utropte dette nye søtnosbandet til årets store overraskelse. Dødsbra, rett og slett. ”
The awardshow takes place on February 11th, and coincides perfectly with Maya and Erlends birthdays. Party on!

Montée at Herr Nilsen

From montées’ blog: We all love jazz in this band, but this will be our first show at an intimate jazzclub. At September 4th Montée will be performing some old goodies as well as some brand new songs we’ve been working on at Herr Nilsen in Oslo, and it should be a great night. Entrance is 150,-, but be there early as it will probably be pretty tight. Maybe some jazzmusicians will help us out on stage as well?

Milan baby, Milan!

Last Friday we played in Milan, Italy, at a festival called Ragnarock. It was a trip out of the ordinary. Ryanair loving from Montée! Hands up, it was a pleasure from start to end. My bass even had a window-seat all by it’s self! We had a day off to enjoy the city as well, and as you can see we really enjoyed ourselves to the fullest:-) For some weird reason we didn’t get to enjoy any pizza or pasta…whyyy?? but, we enjoyed everything else, and the mosquitos enjoyed Montée.
We loved Italy and Italy loved us, can’t wait to go back!
Finally arrived in Milan, and I am so so happy and surprised that I survived the flight with Ryanair!

Hove update!

Here is finally some pictures from Hovefestival. Montée opened the main stage on Monday and was awarded with a really good review in dagsavisen!:-) It was a fantastic day and a beautiful festival, much thanx to the fantastic weather!! We can’t wait to play more festivals this summer! Hope to see you there!

Gratis konsert med Montée ikveld!

Etter en liten pre-prod med Montée på Garage igår kveld, bestemte vi oss for at det ble alt for bra til at bare Hove-publikummerene skal få se Montée live med 8 mann på scenen!! Vi har i tillegg til Andreas Bratlie og Jonas Lie Theis fått med oss David Wallumrød og Karim Sayed som spillte med Montée før, til å fullføre Montée som et 8 manns band på hovedscenen på Hove-festivalen. Så da for deg som ikkje skal på Hove, eller for deg som skal, men vil se oss flere ganger, da er det bare å ta turen innom Garage ikveld kl 21 presis! Og sist men ikkje minst, det er GRATIS! Første mann til mølla konseptet…
